And... thank you for stopping by!

What is Wing Chun Kung Fu? How does it differ from other wu shu? What is its history? Visit our Articles section and find this out from the Roots of The Style Practiced at The Canberra Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy article. Check out Allan's martial arts background in this short resume, or even publish your own articles on our website.

Wing Chun provides a safe fitness training program for people of all ages and levels of fitness. The program is designed so that you may train at your own level, building up as you progress all the time improving your fitness, flexibility, stamina and muscle tone. It is well suited for women as it doesn't demand much physical strength, which is required to perform high kicks or low wide stances as are practiced in many other martial arts. Instead, Wing Chun is based on skill of redirection and use of the stong parts of the body to attack the weak ones. To demostrate effectiveness of Wing Chun, the members of the Academy perform regular demonstrations to the public. Find out about our classes in the Training section on this site. To ensure the quality of tuition, only AWKF accredited instructors will guide you through the techniques.

Grand Master Wan Kam Leung has rewarded numerous of the Academy`s students with certificates of achievement, indicating their levels of progress within the style.

Have a look at the photos of our members visiting Hong Kong for their regular traning with Wan Kam Leung, our Wing Chun demonstrations or just meet our senior students and instructors in the Gallery section of this site.
