Sifu Allan Graham

Sifu Allan Graham has been involved in martial arts since the age of 13, training in Judo, Jiujitsu and Muay Thai at boarding College. Thereafter, Sifu Allan commenced training in the Wing Chun style under Jim Fung in 1972. In 1976, Master Allan left Adelaide moved to Canberra so as to open a new Branch for Jim Fung and returning to Adelaide some 12 months later where he re-continued to instruct within the Adelaide branches.

In 1980, Master Allan relocated back to Canberra and opened his own Academy.

Sifu Allan has continued to broaden his Wing Chun knowledge and experience by studying extensively with other senior Wing Chun practitioners, and some whom have conducted seminars for the Canberra academy, including Yip Chun who held a seminar at the Canberra branch in 1988 and both the Canberra and Brisbane Academies in 1996 over a week’s period. Master Allan continued with Yip Chun until the year 2000.

In addition Sifu Allan started training with Wan Kam Leung in 1994, as number 60 student. Sifu Allan is an annual visitor to Hong Kong since 1994 and has trained as a private student with both Yip Chun and Wan Kam Leung. Sifu Allan has always been accompanied by his students from the Academy ranging in number from 5 up to 17, all training for periods from 2 to 5 weeks duration. Sifu Allan, on a daily basis, attended both private and group classes and many of the students have taken this opportunity on numerous occasions.

Sifu Allan has now ended his association with Sifu Wan Kam Leung in 2009, but will continue his yearly Wing Chun experience in both Hong Kong and China.

Master Allan has devoted his life to improving his Wing Chun as an efficient and effective style of fighting, relevant in today’s environment.

Sifu Allan conducts classes 7 days a week and has developed a program of training that is seen as practical, efficient and enjoyable by the students within the Academy.
