Sifu Allan F Graham, has been involved in martial arts since the age of 13 years, training in Judo, Jitsu and Mauy Thai at Boarding College. Thereafter, Sifu Allan commenced training in the Wing Chun style under Sifu Jim Fung in 1972. In 1976 Sifu Allan left Adelaide and moved to Canberra so as to open a new Branch for Sifu Jim Fung and returning to Adelaide some 12 months later.

Sifu Allan relocated back to Canberra in 1980 and opened his own Academy.

Sifu Allan has continued to broaden his Wing Chun knowledge and experience by studying extensively with other senior Wing Chun practitioners, and some of whom have conducted seminars for the Canberra Academy, including Sifu Ip Chun who attended the Canberra in 1988 and both the Canberra and Brisbane Academies in 1996 over a week period..

Sifu Allan started training with Grand Master Wan Kam Leung in 1994, being number 60 student. Sifu Allan is an annual visitor to Hong Kong since 1994 and has trained as a private student with Grand Master Wan Kam Leung for this period ( 2007 ). Sifu Allan is also accompanied by students from the Academy ranging in number from 5 up to 17 in number, who all train from periods from 2 weeks up to 5 weeks duration on a daily basis, attending both private and group classes and many of the students have taken this opportunity on numerous occasions.

Grand Master Wan Kam Leung is an enlighten and extremely talented Wing Chun practitioner who has devoted his life to improving Wing Chun as a practical and efficient style of fighting, relevant to today's life style. Every year Sifu Wan has continued to refine and made improvements in the execution of the Wing Chun techniques for a better and more practical usage. Grand Master Wan Kam Leung has rewarded the Canberra Practical Wing Chun Academy with a Certificate of Appointment as the 1st Regional Wan Kam Leung Practical Wing Chun school for Australia as from 12 September 2007. Our Academy very honored to officially represent Grand Master Wan Kam Leung within Australia.

Again, to further encourage and benefit the students within the Academy, Sifu Allan has invited Sifu Ip Chun to both the Canberra and Brisbane Academies, in 1988 and 1996 where he conducted seminars over a six-day period for the students of the Academy.
