Grew up primarily in the ACT and attended St John Vianney's at Warramanga, then went to Canberra Grammar, the highlight being winning the national championships (Rugby Union) in Sydney while representing the ACT. At the age of 15 I went to boarding school and made it into the 1st XV, GPS 1st XV, NSW XV and the Ausralian Schoolboys in 1986. In 1989 while at University studying PE/Computers I was selected to play in the NSW and Australian colts teams. From there I gained representation the NSW Waratahs, Australian Barbarians and finally was selected in the Wallabies tour of New Zealand in 1991. After this representation, I played for the Canberra Kookaburras and captained them for one season.
Currently I am teaching in the Goulburn area and trying to get to as many WC classes as possible.
Rugby has been a big part of my life until a few years ago, and the longing for some physical interaction in retirement is what attracted me to WC. What has kept me with WC is the consistent challenging of your skills in each class. I really enjoy training with the many skillful people at the academy. Just when you think you are proficient at a skill, you train with someone better than yourself and feel like a novice again.
